Julian J. Robinson was this morning officially nominated as the People's National Party candidate for Member of Parliament in the St. Andrew South Eastern Constituency.
At 10:45 am, following blessings from Bishop of Kingston Robert Thompson, Julian, flanked by Councillor for the Vineyard Town division Andrew Swaby, sitting Member of Parliament Maxine Henry-Wilson and former Member of Parliament and aunt Heather Robinson went into Campion College where he officially began his bid for the SE St Andrew seat.
Outside, dozens of enthusiastic PNP supporters danced and sang party songs and Happy Birthday to Party President Portia Simpson Miller.
When the official paperwork was completed, Julian released two white doves as a plea for peace for the constituency and Jamaica over the election period.
From Campion, Julian went to give support to fellow first-time candidate Andre Hylton of Eastern St Andrew, who was being nominated at Mona High School.
